Adjusting to life with a newborn has been an incredible experience so far. It is still surreal to have Harper here in our house and be apart of our daily routine. I still have moments of "Did this all really happen... Did I really delivery the baby that I carried around for so long... Am I really normal size again!?" You get to know your baby when they are in your belly, you spend every minute together for a very long time so it is weird for that to all of the sudden be gone. However, that feeling of something missing is replaced with such a unique experience to see the little baby you and your husband created in person. We are still trying to decide who Harper looks like more! I feel like it is going well though, she seems to be a very mellow baby. We had a lot of family come visit for the birth. Harper was very popular her first few days of life. We had the first pediactric visit on Monday February 13th and Harper checked out beautifully. She did so good for the exam too. Things we have noticed about her so far are that she likes her baths, she loves getting burped, she smiles a lot, her toots are loud enough to wake us up in the middle of the night, she is a good eater and sleeper, and she hates diaper changes. Will and I look forward to all of the new things we will learn about Harper and parenthood in general over the upcoming months.
